Antigen Description:
TYRO protein tyrosine kinase binding protein과 수용체 신호전달 복합체(receptor signaling complex)를 형성하는 membrane protein을 암호화합니다. 이 유전자에 의해 발현되는 단백질은 immune response에 중요한 역할을 하며, 지속적으로 염증성 사이토카인(constitutive inflammatory cytokines)의 생성을 유도함으로써 만성 염증(chronic inflammation) 과정에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.

이 유전자의 결함(defects)은 다낭성 지질막성 골이영양증을 동반한 경화성 백질뇌병증(Polycystic Lipomembranous Osteodysplasia with Sclerosing Leukoencephalopathy, PLOSL)의 원인으로 알려져 있습니다.
